Step 2 - Blurb

"Avaiki means Paradise e maine. This Paradise was your mamas’ home and her school. You were sent here for a reason"

-Poerava is sent away by her mama(to her homeland)on a reflective retreat. She stays with an uncle from on her mamas side on an island called Avaiki. Like its meaning, the island is indeed a paradise but a warning from her uncle makes her curious. why is it forbidden to go out during a full moon night? She disobeys the warning and ends up getting stuck in what seems to be a parallel universe, where the legends her mother told her are true. She needs to collect six things and reach the mountain where all legends began, in order to get back home.

Step 3 - Pitch Statement
-Poerava gets into trouble after disobeying the warning her uncle gave her. There is something about Avaiki that she just cant figure out. What is the connection between this place and the island? Help Poerava find her way out and back to home.

    Well done! Not only is this blurb captivating but it's also really interesting and it gets the audience on their feet wanting to play straight away. Also I like the fact that it has a spiritual-sorta vibe to it and it makes us reminisce to the times when our grandparents would tell us as children the legends or myths of our people/our ancestors and of our past.

    Have you thought of how many stages your going to include? What the six things are? How your game concludes? and yeah questions along those lines hah!

    But yeah, can't wait to see your finally product. Oh and I love how you've used the name Poerava, it has several meanings I know of a few two being Black Pearl and or Dark Beauty. A few things we are known for Black Pearls and our Dark skin lol. Mkay bye.

Forest Marathon The game is set outdoor where the protagonist collects acorns. I had thought the game would be along the lines of running in the forest; like how the game Sonic Dash has that blue creature running down a lane filled with obstacles that needs to be avoided. Plus the title is literally called 'Forest Marathon' surely its got something  to do with...running..? Turns out, it was nothing like it at all- which is kind of disappointing. The protagonist of the game just had to find 5 acorns in order to move to the next level. This continues until she finds the big acorn then the game ends there. It was shocking to see that the majority of our audience -who answered the  monkey survey based on gaming- were females!! I had made the assumption that males would take the lead in playing video games instead of females. World Building

Task 7-  Now its time to design your world!     -I want to base my game on the Cook Islands, I'm planning on using the different tourist attractions in my game for my island(world), e.g Atiu - Island of birds and underground caves, Mauke - underwater caves, Aitutaki - beautiful lagoon. Uses of colors in Avaiki - My game will have two worlds; the real world Avaiki and the parallel one(still trying to find a name) Both my worlds will be set on islands, they would obviously have similar appearances but the differences to the real and parallel world will be made obvious.  The game will be set within the parallel world( Avaiki will be in the intro of my game, its actual starter will be when the protagonist enters the parallel world)  I've envisioned a 'Alice in wonderland' kind of theme/world.
