Game Feedback

Okay, so my game is not what i have planned it to be when i first started my production on Gamefroot. Gamefroot's program is so different to what i expected, i.e. the animation and terrain building, Gamefroots got a 2D platform(and so on). One of my audience had commented on how my game looks similar to Mario(the game), not the gameplay but the games animation as well, so, i just want to stress that this game originated from my own ideas.( Inanuis' idea..)

Anyways Gamefroot is pretty algoods, i just had to change a few things to my game. Like the games story, protagonist/antagonist, the terrain and stuff to suit the program and the interest of my target audience.

I got some people i knew to test play my game, just i could see which level needed fixing or stuff added to it. And so the first two people who test played commented on how the second level was "waaaaay too hard" and that they couldn't get pass that level without dying. (so i fixed it by switching level 2 to level 3 and also lessened the traps i had laid out in the terrain.) One of my test players, commented on how she liked that my game had a few maori words in it and wondered if i could add more maori words in. Another person who test played my game, (she's my 9 year old cousin) commented on how the game keeps "freezing' and it was "annoying" cos that's how she dies. (i wasn't able to fix the glitch in my game, only because i didn't know how)

+) My gamefroot game is the same platform as Toku Pitoenua. It's a great platform for adventure genres. In this game the protagonist (who is you as the player) is in search for his people who have been taken by the Paku.
He enters 5 different domains that are both dangerous but worth going through. The players are on a wild goose chase, finding his village people. As the game develops, players need to overcome many traps,, enemies and puzzles throughout the 5 different levels of the game. With the guidance of the signs and notes he comes across, players are taken on a journey to save his village people from their doom. [Note: Paku is a childs way of saying monster/ghost] The protagonist of the game, follows signs of advice in order to get to other levels. There are some twist and turns in my levels which requires alot of common sense(you just have to be witty)

My Gamefroot is a side-scrolling adventure game with platforming and action components. Players control the protagonist as he navigates and fights through five different levels in the game. Due to the program i am using, my game uses a 2D visual style.

Each of my level has been changed. I have an intro that lets all my players know whats happening, then once its over, the game hits it straight to level 1 and so on.... so i start off easy to let my players get a feel on how the game works. Then as the level rises, the harder the level becomes. There's only five in total, and each game takes at least 5 minutes of gameplay, unless the player is not really good with games then it'll take longer, especially since my game requires alot of brain power and patience.
